US residents entering Canada require a US Passport Book, or a US Passport Card, or a US Military ID to re-enter the US.

Persons with a felony or misdemeanor may not be allowed entry. We suggest contacting the border to discuss your situation.

Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources no longer issues a written “hard copy” of fishing and hunting licenses. They are only available online and must be purchased over the internet. If you are purchasing for the first time you will also need to first purchase a Outdoors Card which you will be directed to purchase as part of your license purchase process. If you already have a Outdoors Card from a previous Ontario licenses you do not need to purchase another one, you can enter that card number and your information will already be in the data base for license purchase.

US residents entering Canada require a US Passport Book, or a US Passport Card, or a US Military ID to re-enter the US.

Persons with a felony or misdemeanor may not be allowed entry. We suggest contacting the border to discuss your situation.

Walleye Possession Limits: 4 with Sport License, or 2 with a Conservation License. Limits are restricted to none between 18″-23″ and only 1 may be over 23″.

Muskie Possession Limit: 1 greater than 54″ with Sport license, or 0 with Conservation License. Season opens 3rd Saturday of June

Northern Pike Possession Limits: 4 with Sport License, or 2 with a Conservation License. Limits are restricted to none between 27.5″-35.4″ and only 1 may be over 35.4″.

Smallmouth Bass Possession Limits: 4 with Sport License, or 2 with a Conservation License. None may be over 13.8″ until July 1.

CROSSING THE BORDER

You are allowed a “reasonable” amount of food and personal goods. At times some specific food products are not allowed for various reasons so check for current restrictions.

You’re allowed duty and tax free, 40 oz of liquor OR 1 case of beer, 200 cigarettes OR 50 cigars.

No live minnows, leeches, frozen smelt, or any other baitfish. Night crawlers are allowed but must be in worm bedding and NOT dirt.
